Through a play on materiality, adornment and advertising this ongoing series of pavement signs translates discarded news headlines into lavish objects. By means of abundant compositions, vivid colour combinations and a modern marquetry technique, these headlines are isolated from their original journalistic context and freely translated into ornamental objects that contrast the temporality of the news industry. This project was made in collaboration with furniture and object designer Laurids Gallee.
